About the Artisan |
![]() Edwin J. Sadler, Artist and EngineerBorn in England, Ed has a broad knowledge of Art and woodworking techniques. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Builder's License, and is a Member in good standing of the American Association of Woodturners.Throughout his life, Ed has pursued his interests in both the Arts and Engineering. He began his career as a Sign Writer and has worked extensively in the Automotive Industry. The love of woodworking took hold early in his life when, at the age of ten, Ed converted his Mother's beloved Rosewood sewing cabinet into quite possibly one of the first Hi-Fi audio systems! Continuing the refinement of his woodworking skills is what lead to Ed's distinctively designed furniture creations, beautifully crafted wood-turned bowls, and other unique works of art. In the mid eighties, Ed began to seriously pursue painting. His love of the sea and natural talent for art merged to produce beautiful works in watercolor. A number of his paintings also reflect his passion for "man's best friend" as well as his exploration of various mediums. Utilizing photographs he had taken while on assignments around the world, Ed developed and refined his painting technique. Ed's artistic talents are demonstrated not only in his furniture and artwork, but in his other areas of interest as well. For example in the kitchen where his presentation of food benefits from his knowledge of artistic composition. Indeed, Ed Sadler is a true Artisan. It is evident in his attention to detail, in his works of art, and every area of his life. He derives great satisfaction in artwork well crafted and his clients well pleased. |
